GUMC affiliates can borrow any of the following virtual reality headsets from DML for one week. Please ask at the Information Services Desk if you're interested.
The Gear, Freefly and Merge all require the use of your smart phone. (DML does not lend smart phones)
A virtual reality (VR) experience can be achieved relatively inexpensively using a smart phone, VR app and VR headset such as Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear or Freefly. Medical students can use VR smartphone apps to assist in their studies and numerous health apps have been developed for consumers.
There's many free or paid health/medicine related apps that can be downloaded to explore the world of VR.
