The following databases are newly acquired by DML.
New
5MinuteConsult,provided by LWW, contains drug information, disease and condition information, test and lab information, as well as videos and handouts for patients. This is available as a stand-alone app.

5MinuteConsult app directions:

1. Connect to dml.georgetown.edu

a. Select A to Z Databases
b. Select #
c. Select 5MinuteConsult and login with a Georgetown NetID username and password

2. Click the Create a personal account button to register for a 5MinuteConsult personal account.

3. Connect to Google Play or the Apple store to download the mobile app a smart phone or tablet. There are multiple versions of the product – be sure to download the version published by Ovid or Wolters Kluwer.

4. Enter the 5MinuteConsult personal account credentials created in step number two above.


To keep the app access active, you must login to your 5MinuteConsult personal account on the website every 90 days via the link provided on the DML A to Z Databases page.

Provides access to citations from MEDLINE and OLDMEDLINE, some general science and chemistry journals, and life science journals that submit full text to PubMedCentral and receive a qualitative review by NLM. Also provides access and links to Entrez molecular biology resources. Entrez is the text-based search and retrieval system used at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) for services including PubMed, Nucleotide and Protein Sequences, Protein Structures, Complete Genomes, Taxonomy, OMIM, and many others.
