What is Fibrosis?

According to the NCBI's Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) database, Fibrosis is any "pathological condition where fibrous connective tissue invades any organ, usually as a consequence of inflammation or other injury". Fibrotic conditions can include Cystic Fibrosis, Liver Fibrosis, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Cicatrix or wound healing.
