Test Preparation Guide

This LibGuide is to direct patrons to the our current resources to help them prepare for their various certification exams. This includes three institutional USMLE test preparation resources and a myriad of texts (online/print) for various specialties

Online Specialty Resources

In addition to the USMLE-based resources, DML has put together a collection of specialty-based resources that can help medical students, residents, and practicing physicians to keep on top of their field.

First Aid
This collection features most of McGraw Hill's First Aid titles, barring the USMLE Step titles (most of which we have in print). It includes texts to support preparation for specialty boards, various clerkships, COMLEX, ABSITE, and NBDE.
BoardVitals
In addition to providing support for USMLE Steps 1 -3, BoardVitals have allows users to test within certain medical subjects, with a highlight being Shelf Exams for specialties in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and/or Surgery.

Print Specialty Resources

Eventually every medical student has to pick a specialty, AAMC has a wealth of information dedicated to this very pursuit. Dahlgren Memorial Library has a varied collection of print resources that can help you hone your knowledge and skills in your chosen specialty.
