eBooks-Reading and Using

Welcome! This guide will help you interact with the eBooks in DML's collection.

Search DML Catalog

When you have a particular title in mind and need to determine whether it is in the DML collection, it is recommended to follow the steps below:

First, go to DML's homepage, dml.georgetown.edu, and select "DML Catalog" from the center, left "Quick Resources" column. Once you have selected DML Catalog, you should see a screen similar to the one below:

Next, within the "Search" box, enter in the title you need. Then, select "Search".

Your results list will look similar to the image below. Select a particular edition to view title specifics.

If there is an eBook equivalent available, select the "Connect to Dahlgren Online Resource".

DML also offers an eBook Highlights Collection which can be searched via title.

If you don't have a particular title in mind, you can also use the DML catalog to search by subject.

Enter a subject within the "Search" box in the DML Catalog. Then, under the "Library Catalog" drop-down, change to Subject.

You will see a page similar to the screenshot below. The catalog will list a variety of filters where you are able to refine your search. The filters include location, authors, item types and more.

If a record has the phrase "Connect to Dahlgren Online Resource", then that title has an electronic copy.

Select the needed book by clicking the title link. Within, you will find information about the DML holding and other important information.
