Medical Apps Guide

Instructions:

• On a computer, go to the web version of AccessMedicine


• Click "Georgetown University" in the top right corner and select “Sign in or Create a Free MyAccess Profile” to create an AccessMedicine personal account.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Open the app.


• Select “Sign in” to enter your personal username and password.


• New users will be asked basic questions to personalize access; however, there is an option to “skip for now” in the upper right hand corner of the screen.


• Accounts must be reactivated once every 90 days by logging into a personal account from the web version.

Instructions:

• On a computer go to the web version of BoardVitals.


• Select "if registering for the first time, click here"


• Use either an @georgetown.edu or @gunet.georgetown.edu email address.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.

Instructions:

• On a computer, go to the DML website and look for ClinicalPharmacology and click "login".


• On the login page, go to the remote access section (bottom right) and click "apply now".


• On the next page, enter your @georgetown.edu or @gunet.georgetown.edu email address and click "continue".


• Clinical Pharmacology will display a confirmation screen and will send an authentication email to your address.


• Open the remote access request confirmation email and click on the "activate your remote access" link.
  (If you are asked to select an organization please choose, "Georgetown University Medical Center").


• Either login to an existing account or register for a new account.


• Remote app access is now enabled.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet and login with your credentials.

Instructions:

• Go to the Google Play or App Store and download the ClinicalKey app.


• Open the App.


• Choose product: “ClinicalKey” or “ClinicalKey Nursing”


• Then select “Next”


• Select edition “ClinicalKey” or “ClinicalKey Nursing” (first option)


• Select "Access via your institution"


• Message will pop up stating "ClinicalKey" wants to use "elsevier.com" to Sign in. Select "Continue"


• Enter “Georgetown University Medical Center (Georgetown University)” on the Find your institution search page


• Select “Confirm your institution


• Enter a Georgetown NetID and password

Instructions:

• On a computer, go to the web version of DynaMed.


• Within DynaMed, click on the "sign in" link.


• Click "register now" to create a personal account.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• After installing the DynaMed app, tap the "sign in" option. Select Continue from the "DynaMed wants to use ebsco.zone to sign in" message.


• Sign in with the username and password created above.


• You will be asked to re-sign in every 3 months.

Instructions:

• Download the EBSCO Mobile App.


• Open the EBSCO Mobile App and from the opening page, select "Get Started".


• Select "Connect to Institution".


• Search for Georgetown University Medical Center


• Select "Connect your institution"


• Message stating "ebscomobile" Wants to use "ebsco.zone" to Sign in. Select continue


• An EBSCO wheel will appear momentarily and will redirect to the Georgetown NetID login page.


• Authenticate with a Georgetown NetID and Password.


• "Welcome, Georgetown University Medical Center" will appear at the top of the app page.

App version of IBM Micromedex. point of care drug interaction reference - subset of the content found within the web version of IBM Micromedex. This resource is powered by artificial intelligence. Personal accounts required. Good for background and foreground questions. 

Only authorized users who are competent healthcare professionals who rely on their clinical discretion and judgment in diagnosis and treatment may use the content for medical diagnosis or treatment purposes.

 

• On a computer, access the web version of IBM.
• Select "Mobile Applications Access" link.
• From the next page, select "Micromedex Native Mobile Apps".
• Scroll to the IBM Micromedex Drug Int section.
• Install the app from either Google Play or the App Store.
• Open the app and tap the Micromedex Customer Option.
• Enter the code from the web site. The code changes frequently.

• Open the app and tap the Micromedex Customer Option

• On a computer, access the web version of Micromedex.


• Select the "Mobile Applications Access" link from homepage.


• Select the "Micromedex Native Mobile Apps" section.


• Scroll to IBM Micromedex IV Comp.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Open the app and tap the Micromedex customer option


• Enter the code from the site. The code changes yearly.

• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Open the app and tap the NeoFax Customer Option.


• Enter the code from the site. The code changes yearly.

• On a computer, access the web version of Micromedex


• Select "Mobile Applications Access" link from the homepage.
  
• Select "Micromedex Native Mobile Apps" section.


• Scroll to IBM Micromedex pediatrics.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Open the app and tap the pediatrics customer option.


• Enter the code from the site. The code changes yearly.

Instructions:

• From a computer, go to the web version of the Medical Letter.


• On the left, within about us, select "mobile app".


• Fill out the required information to create a free account.


• Select the "request mobile app" button when finished.


• Users will not need to confirm their registration in order to use the app.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Login via the above credentials.

Instructions:

• From a computer, open the web version of MedOne Education, MedOne Neurosurgery, or MedOne Plastic Surgery, and click the "sign up for access from home" option.


• Scroll down to "register now". Complete all fields marked with * in the form. Use a @gunet.georgetown.edu or @georgetown.edu email to create the account.


• After the account is created, you will receive an e-mail from Thieme. Click the confirmation link and a notification will open letting you know that the account is confirmed.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.
  In the App settings, login with credentials created above. You will have access to all three MedOne collections.

Instructions:

• On a computer, go to the web version of Osmosis and create a personal account.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Once downloaded, sign in with your personal username and password created above.


• Follow directions to input Osmosis Verification code.

Instructions:

• On a computer, go to the web version of TDS Health and click the "Profile"


• Enter an @georgetown.edu or @gunet.georgetown.edu email address.


• This becomes the TDS Health App username.


• Select either "log in" or "register" as appropriate.


• If prompted, create a password and select "register now."


• Click "Welcome" from the top navigation bar and select the "anywhere login account" tab


• Click the "activate" button.


• The anywhere login account process needs to be completed every three months to continue App access to content.


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Login with the newly created TDS Health app credentials.

Instructions:

• On a computer, go to the web version.


• Sign in or register for a personal account.


• Go to the mobile tab.


• Select the content to load on to your device. The app will also provide access to the Prime current awareness tools.


• In the upper right, select "install or move to a new device"


• Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet.


• Download the app, select "Sign in" and use the "My Institutional Login".


• From the dropdown list, select "Georgetown University Medical Center".


• Authenticate with your Georgetown University NetID and password.
