Each section will go into the basics of how to use Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Prezi.
PowerPoint is a presentation graphics software program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It is used to create and deliver electronic slide shows, often containing multimedia elements like images, text, videos, and animations, to convey information or ideas visually.
Google Slides functions used similarly to Microsoft's PowerPoint.
Google Slides is a presentation program and part of the free, web-based Google Docs suite offered by Google. Google Slides is available as a web application, mobile app for: Android, iOS, and as a desktop application on Google's ChromeOS.
Google Slides is available to some GUMC users and is part of the Google Workspace funded and supported by Georgetown's University Information Services (UIS).
Prezi is a 3rd party, independent resource available to educators and students with a number of different plans. Basic is free and allows for up to 5 presentations with the individual account.
Users can also invite team members to add to and edit the presentation. Basic Prezi does include the assistance of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool.
