Welcome! This guide will help you interact with the eBooks in DML's collection.

Introduction to Stable Links

A stable link (sometimes called a permanent URL or static link) is important to use when sharing eBook content with colleagues or embedding an eBook link within a Learning Management System. Stable links include the information (called the proxy prefix) needed to authenticate users as Georgetown affiliates.

Using the DML Catalog to create Stable links

To create stable links from the DML catalog, please follow the steps below:

First, search for and select an eBook you wish to link to within the DML catalog, and open the record. The book chosen for this example is Grant's Atlas of Anatomy:

eBook record for Grant's Atlas of Anatomy.

Above the record holding, the URL is the permanent link for the particular title in question. For this example, the stable link is:

https://dahlgren.bywatersolutions.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=8404

Using the DML catalog to create stable links will work for all of DML's eBooks, regardless of platform. In order to link to specific database collections, please go to DML's Databases A-Z
