When you have a particular title in mind and need to determine whether it is in the DML collection, it is recommended to follow the steps below:
First, go to DML's homepage, dml.georgetown.edu, and select "DML Catalog" from the center, left "Quick Resources column". Once you have selected DML Catalog, you should see a screen similar to the one below:
Next, within the "Search For" box, enter in the title you need. Then, select "Search Now".
Your results list will look similar to the image below. Select a particular edition to view whether there is an eBook equivalent available:
If there is an eBook equivalent available, select the Connect to "Dahlgren Online Resource" from within the Electronic Access field.
DML also offers an A-Z list (by title) of ebooks.
If you don't have a particular title in mind, you can also use the DML catalog to search by subject.
Enter a subject within the "Search for" box in the DML Catalog. Then, under the "search by" options, change from keywords to Subject Headings.
You will see a page similar to the screenshot below. The catalog will list a variety of both MeSH (Medical Subject headings) and LC (Library of Congress) terms that may be applicable to the topic you need. The number indicates the number texts available to you, both print and electronic. Once you have selected the subject heading you want to explore, you will need to select "Records" to view your results:
You will then be taken to a list of "qualifiers" or subheadings. If you are unsure of the qualifiers you need, select "No Qualifiers". If you wish to use a particular qualifier, select the box next to the qualifier you want. You may also "select all" to see all of the results.
After you select "Select All" you will be taken to a list of the materials in the catalog that are related to your subject. Select a particular record to determine whether there is an eBook equivalent.
